New Week

Avery had an ok day today. We had appointments all morning and she was not much in the mood for those, but made it through. After lunch she took a little snooze and then we went for a walk. It was 70 degrees in Memphis today - absolutely gorgeous. Avery had her first experience with bubbles. After watching the bubbles for a while in awe, she finally clapped her hands together and squealed in delight. We'll have to do that again soon.

Dinner tonight brought up lunch. Not sure what triggered it as she was eating like normal. She managed to get herself, me and the couch....cleaning up puke with only one set of hands is much tougher than I thought! We got it done though, even managed to change her dressing again. No clue how I managed to keep her calm for that! Poor Marriott is coming tomorrow and I have lots of laundry for her!

  1. Just a little note to let you know that I'm thinking and praying for you both today! Even though sometimes it may not feel like it, Jesus is with you through this tough journey! I'm praying you both feel His loving arms around you today in a real way! :) - Monica

  2. Doesn't it seem like sometimes we just don't have enough hands, but as you say we manage. You are doing a great job. Avery has so many pulling for her. Give her a special hug & kiss from this grandma. Thinking of you all every day. Mary Ann A.

  3. Jennifer, Sounds like you are finding your way being a solo pilot for Avery. It isn't easy but you are strong and resourseful. I am concerned that Avery isn't getting the right timing or mix on her anti-nausea drugs. Do you give her the med for nausea before she ever gets to the throw up stage? The long acting med if it lasts 5 days then start her on another anti nausea drug on day three so she is covered. You might want to talk to the doctors about your goal of no vomiting!
